APF active filters/SVG static reactive power generators have comprehensive power quality management capabilities.

APF (Active Power Filter)

Main functions: Harmonic control (eliminating 2nd to 50th harmonics), output compensation current mainly based on harmonics, filtering ability can reach over 97%, and complete compensation time for step changes in harmonics is less than 20ms

Technical principle: Detecting harmonic currents through CT and generating reverse harmonic currents to offset load harmonics (APF: The sampling CT needs to be installed on the load side to avoid collecting the compensation device's own current)

Capacity limitation: The single machine capacity is usually ≤ 150A, and it is necessary to avoid direct parallel connection with the capacitor cabinet

SVG (Static Var Generator)

Main function: Dynamic reactive power compensation (response time ≤ 5ms), solving voltage fluctuations and three-phase imbalance problems. SVG can compensate for reactive power and low order harmonics up to the 13th order

Technical principle: IGBT converter is used to output fundamental current for bidirectional capacitive/inductive compensation

Capacity advantage: Single machine capacity can reach megawatt level, suitable for large industrial scenarios

APF/SVG can run multiple units in parallel simultaneously, with a total efficiency of over 97.5%. It is fully suitable for various situations in industrial and civilian fields and is the best solution for nonlinear load harmonic control and reactive power compensation.
