What is reactive power

Oct 15, 2024 Leave a message

Most power equipment in the power grid works based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. They establish an alternating magnetic field during the energy conversion process, and the power absorbed and released in one cycle is equal. When the power supply energy passes through a pure inductor or pure capacitor circuit, there is no energy consumption, only reciprocating exchange between the load and the power supply, flowing between the three phases. Since this exchange power does not do external work, it is called reactive power.
