Overview
The NRROV series high-voltage solid-state soft starting device (hereinafter referred to as the soft starting device) is a high-voltage motor soft starting device designed with the latest concept, mainly suitable for the control and protection of starting and stopping squirrel cage asynchronous and synchronous motors. This device is composed of multiple thyristors connected in series and parallel, which can meet different current and voltage requirements.
Soft starter The product is widely used in industries such as power, building materials, chemicals, metallurgy, steel, and papermaking with a rated voltage of 3000-1500V. It can be well matched with various mechanical and electrical equipment such as water pumps, fans, compressors, crushers, mixers, belt conveyors, etc. It is an ideal high-voltage motor starting and protection equipment.
Soft starter device configuration: divided into two types of structural arrangements. Split type structure: the upper level has a motor outlet cabinet, and the cable from the motor outlet cabinet is led out to the soft start cabinet, and the cable from the soft start cabinet is led out to the motor. Integrated high-voltage solid-state soft start cabinet, which combines the switchgear and soft start into one switchgear, has a small size and is easy to install. It can be installed in parallel with other switchgear cabinets.

Structure
The structure adopts the common technical requirements of GB11022-199-T high-voltage switchgear and control equipment, and applies sealing treatment in the cabinet to reduce pollution inside the machine, with a reasonable layout. The advanced digital trigger system connects the low-voltage control to the high-voltage part through fiber optics, and the convenient maintenance design allows each phase module to be quickly replaced separately. For operational safety reasons, the high-voltage and low-voltage parts are completely isolated.
Grounding wire
To ensure the reliable operation of NRROV, the ground wires of each control unit in the cabinet are connected to the lower grounding copper bar of the cabinet.
Model Description

Operational principle
The control core of the NRROV series is the microprocessor CPU. The microprocessor triggers phase angle control on the SCR to reduce the voltage applied to the motor, and then smoothly increases the motor torque by slowly controlling the voltage and current applied to the motor until the motor accelerates to full speed. This starting method can reduce the starting impulse current of the motor, reducing the impact on the power grid and the motor itself. At the same time, it also reduces the mechanical impact on the mechanical load device connected to the motor, in order to extend the service life of the equipment, reduce fault and downtime detection time.
When the motor reaches full speed operation, the motor current drops to the normal full speed operation current value. The NRROV series soft start device has a bypass output relay, which closes the bypass high-voltage vacuum contactor, allowing the motor current to pass through the bypass contactor, preventing heat loss caused by the pressure drop caused by SCR conduction, and improving work efficiency and availability;
Technical characteristics
1. Maintenance free: Thyristors are contactless electronic devices that require frequent maintenance of liquids and components, unlike other types of products. They transform the mechanical lifespan into the service life of electronic components, allowing for continuous operation for several years without the need for shutdown maintenance.
2. Easy to install and use: NRROV is a complete motor starting control and protection system, which can be put into operation by connecting the power and motor lines during installation. Before high-voltage operation, it is allowed to conduct electrical testing on the entire system using low voltage.
3. Backup feature: The device is equipped with a vacuum contactor that can directly start the motor. If NRROV malfunctions, the vacuum contactor can be used to directly start the motor to ensure production continuity.
4. Install an electromagnetic locking device on NRROV to prevent accidental entry into the high-voltage device under live conditions.
5. Advanced fiber optic transmission technology achieves isolation between triggering detection of high-voltage thyristors and low-voltage control circuits.
6. Adopting a 32-bit ARM core microcontroller to execute central control, the control is real-time, efficient, intuitive, reliable, and has good stability.
7. Chinese/English LCD/touch screen display system, user-friendly operation interface.
7. It has an RS-485 communication interface and can communicate with the upper computer or centralized control center.
8. The main circuit components are high-voltage thyristors, which have voltage equalization protection and overvoltage protection. 9. All circuit boards have undergone strict aging tests.
