◆Reactive power compensation, abbreviated as reactive power compensation, plays a role in improving the power factor of the power grid in the power supply system, reducing losses in power transformers and transmission lines, improving power supply efficiency, and enhancing the power supply environment. So reactive power compensation devices are in an indispensable and very important position in the power supply system. Reasonable selection of compensation devices can achieve the maximum reduction of power grid losses and improve the quality of power grid. On the contrary, improper selection or use may cause significant losses, voltage fluctuations, increased harmonics, and affect the normal operation of electrical equipment in the power supply system. The basic principle of reactive power compensation: The power output of the power grid includes two parts: active power: directly consuming electrical energy, converting it into mechanical energy, thermal energy, chemical energy, or acoustic energy, and using these energies to do work. This part of power is called active power; Reactive power: It does not consume electrical energy, but only converts it into another form of energy. This energy is a necessary condition for electrical equipment to do work, and it is periodically converted with electrical energy in the power grid. This part of power is called reactive power (such as the electrical energy occupied by electromagnetic components to establish a magnetic field, and the electrical energy occupied by capacitors to establish an electric field).

◆The specific implementation method of reactive power compensation: Connect the device with capacitive power load and inductive power load in parallel in the same circuit, and exchange energy between the two loads. In this way, the reactive power required by inductive loads can be compensated by the reactive power output by capacitive loads.
